Faith Lutheran College have taken out the 2014 Youth Girls Cup in a nail-biting contest over St Saviour's College. It was a hotly contested Open Division competition with eight of the competing nine sides recording a victory throughout the day.
Faith were the powerhouse all day, going through undefeated during round robin stages but it was the unknown St Saviour's College who sent a scare through the Plainland's based school. The final score of 5.2 (32) to 5.1 (31) showed that it wasn't an easy day in the office for the Faith Lutheran Girls but they did enough to advance to the SEQ Finals on April 1st.
St Saviour's College didn't leave empty handed though with All-Australian Shaliese Law showing her class and taking home the MVP award for the carnival. Chloe Campbell of St Ursula's College took out the Grand-Final half-time sprint for the 2013 Youth Girls champions.
