AFL Queensland are pleased to announce the appointment of Marnie McGorm as the Club Coordinator for the Darling Downs Region.
McGorm comes in as previous Club Coordinator Christopher Davis progressed with his career moving into the role of Community Club Development Manager, looking after clubs across Brisbane North and the Sunshine Coast.
Regional Manager Keith Webb was delighted with the appointment of local product Marnie.
"While Marnie definitely has big shoes to fill, we all are very confident she has the ability to fill the void left by Christopher," Regional Manager Webb said.
"McGorm's knowledge on the local football landscape is a big plus and her work ethic is second to none," Webb added.
Marnie McGorm Bio
McGorm first came onto the AFL scene sampling NAB AFL Auskick at St Thomas More's Primary some years ago now. Marnie then got another taste of our great game making her debut with St Ursula's College in 2009 at the Brisbane Lions Cup. From here McGorm has gone onto represent both the region and the State at both Under 18 (2011,2012) and Women's (2013) level.
Marnie also has coaching credentials behind her with gigs in assistant coach roles with the Under 17 regional representative program for youth girls.
McGorm has previously worked casually with AFL Queensland Darling Downs and Brisbane South regions and is also studying Physiotherapy.
Once again congratulations to Marnie on her appointment, she officially started on Monday 25th November.
