Solomon Islands National University Visit.

The two days sessions with the Diploma’s and Degree’s in Teaching was a good start to have this sport introduced into the school for any future competition which the Physical Education Teacher have plan to organise one by next year with my involvement.

I have learned on the first day that only two out of the nineteen participants have little knowledge about basketball.

I have 1pm to 3pm each day which is their PE class but will only spent about an hour and half due to the delay of their transport and traffic jam was also one major contribution.

The first day I spent about 40 mins teaching them about the game and how it was played and then finished up with few basics in Passing, Dribbling, Pivoting and few small exercises.

The second day was more interesting because they have enjoyed doing the basics and I divided them in groups and make them compete.

The PE Teacher was so pleased with my program and because the school will have their break for holiday soon, he assured them that I will continue with my programs next year.

I also thank them especially the school (SINU) for allowing me to have my program extended to them and have asked those who will not come back next year because they have completed their course to use the few knowledge they have learned from the two days at which ever Province they will be posted to.
