The night of nights for the UTS Bats had a new venue this year, with the 2013 Corporate Edge Best and Fairest night held at the Light Brigade Hotel.
It was a relaxed night where players and supporters gathered to look back at the season and recognise those that have stood out across the five grades.
Some very special presentations also took place with Bats President Scott Baker, Head of Football Operations and Simon Rabbitt and former committee member Chris Mintern given Life Membership for their 10 years of service to the club.
Division 1 captain and committee member Luke Trimboli received the Outstanding Leadership Award.
Clubman of the Year went to Matthew Rivett who lives and breathes the Bats in everything he does, while Division 5 coach George Harder was presented with the Presidents Award, mainly for his inspirational slideshow productions during the finals.
Special congratulations must also go to club stalwart Nino Williamson who was close to tears when Sydney Sports Med presented him with the Physio Award for the third year in a row.
Outgoing Premier Division coach Daniel Lynch announced he won’t be continuing on in the role in 2014.
Lynch’s experience has brought a new level of professionalism to the Bats over the past two seasons that will stand the club in good stead for years to come.
