TAB BALDWIN COACHING CLINICS FOR COACHES AND PLAYERS
We are delighted to invite coaches to attend sessions with Tab Baldwin at 5:30 every Wednesday night from 23rd October to 4 December at Rodney Green Centennial Events Centre, Latham St (McLean Park) Napier.
Tab coached the NZ Tall Blacks during their golden era of the early 2000’s and was at the helm when they achieved that most memorable fourth place finish at the 2002 FIBA World Championships in Indianapolis. The world basketball championships topped off a fairy-tale run for the Tall Blacks in 2002.
In 2006, Tab resigned from the Tall Blacks and began a coaching sojourn in professional basketball leagues around the world. There were coaching stints in clubs in Greece, Turkey, Romania and Lebanon. Tab also lead the Lebanese National Team to a Gold Medal in the powerful Stankovic Cup tourney and followed that up with a near miss Olympic Qualifier when he drove the Jordanian National Team to within 1 point of toppling the mighty Chinese national team in the 2011 Asian Qualifying Tournament on China’s home court.
Tab has just returned to NZ from his last overseas coaching job in China to lead the Hawkes Bay Hawks in the NZ National Basketball League.
