Returning junior, Matthew Thomas has claimed the Best and Fairest award for Pennant Hills at their recent Presentation Night.
Thomas returned to Pennant Hills after a year with Ainslie in the Canberra and NEAFL competition to provide a spark for the Demons predominantly across half-back.
The 23 year-old Westbrook junior impressed with his leadership skills and was also a popular captain of the AFL Sydney Development Representative Squad that played Riverina.
In a successful year where the Demons reached the Premier Division Grand Final, Thomas dominated the vote count to finish 27 votes ahead of Kieran Wright. A further vote back was livewire, Ranga Ediriwickrama.
In the other grades, Anthony Brawn (Division One), Alexander Huggins (Division Four) and Bradley Keough (Under 18 Division One) were named as Best and Fairest.
Other special awards saw Wright and Alastair Richardson bestowed with Life Membership, and Phil Scarlett named as Club Person of the Year.
