AFL 9s is the newest form of the game which launched across the Darling Downs in 2011. This summer, the game for everyone is expanding further with new competitions in Warwick & Kingaroy.
AFL 9s is perfect for anyone to play, no matter your skill level, experience of level of fitness. It is a free-flowing game played between 2 sides of 9 players on a field just 100m long. Competitions are mixed, meaning at least 3 females must be on the field at all times.
Best of all the game is completely non-contact making it safe for everyone to play.
People are encouraged to either enter as an individual, or get their friends, family or workmates together to form a team. This form of the game is also fantastic for businesses to enter a corporate team and build workplace harmony.
Prior to each competition beginning, a FREE Come n Try will be held, offering players the opportunity to come along and give the game a go. A BBQ will also be there for everyone to have a feed after the match.
Competitions are fantastic value at around $50/person for an 8 week season with no additional weekly cost. Players must be at least 14 years of age.
