Applications are now being sort from suitable persons to fill the positions of coach and assistant coach of the 2015 NSW State League Queanbeyan Yowies Men and Womens teams.

Coaches agree to a 12-month commitment to a Queanbeyan Yowies Team.

Coaches must adhere to:

  • the sports code of conduct;
  • the Coaches Code of Behaviour;
  • the rules of the game;
  • requirements of Working with Children legislation;
  • the decisions of Referee’s and authorised officials;
  • the reasonable requests of the Queanbeyan District Basketball Association (QDBA) Board and NSW Basketball.

Coaches must be registered with NSW Basketball and QDBA.

Coaches are to be accredited and/or agree to undertake State Coaching Accreditation (Level 2) as soon as possible during the 12-month period.

Coaches must prepare their appointed team to compete in the 2015 NSW State League competition.

Coaches must participate in coaching camps run by QDBA.

Coaches must maintain regular communication with the QDBA Board

Coaches as part of the coaching team with the Assistant Coach and Team Manager ensure the following:

  • Hold team trials for players;
  • Establish regular training times;
  • All players are registered with NSW Basketball and QDBA;
  • All players are in the correct Uniform.
  • All players’ singlets, owned by QDBA, are accounted for, maintained and secure.
  • A team list is prepared including contact details a copy of which is given to the QDBA Secretary.
  • Ensure players comply with Sports Code of Conduct, the Rules of the Game and the decisions of Referee’s and authorised officials.
  • Ensure players comply with reasonable request from the QDBA Board to participate in club activities such as camps, presentation day and fund raisers.
