Lloyd Perris has agreed to a two-year rookie contract with the Sydney Swans.
Sydney Swans General Manager – Football, Dean Moore said the addition of Perris to the rookie list was a great endorsement for the QBE Sydney Swans Academy.
“Lloyd has been part of the Swans Academy for the past three years and is a really exciting young talent,” he said.
“He played a number of games in our reserves team in the NEAFL this year and we look forward to seeing him develop even further over the next two seasons."
Perris captained the NSW/ACT Rams at the 2013 NAB AFL Under-18 National Championships winning All-Australian honours.
He has been a member of the AIS-AFL Academy for the past two seasons winning both the Cameron Ling and Ben Mitchell medals for outstanding professionalism and character.
Before becoming an inaugural member of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy, Perris was part of the final intake of the New South Wales scholarship program, which means he can be placed directly on to the club’s rookie list.
In future, Academy players will fall under the same bidding system as the father/son recruits, giving all Clubs the opportunity to bid.
