Ahead of the Under 18 Division One Grand Final between UNSW/ES and Pennant Hills, we asked Swans Academy Talent & Operations Manager- Chris Smith to pick out the key players from both sides:
UNSW/ES:
Abe Davis (pictured with U18 AFL NSW/ACT Rams)– Athletic, versatile key position player. Very strong overhead and impressed as an underage player at the National 18s carnival in 2013.
Tyler Roos – Smart, hard running midfielder. Uses the ball well by hand and foot and has an ability to kick a timely goal.
Jordan Foote – Hard running midfielder who gathers plenty of possessions. Tough in and under type.
Pennant Hills:
Brad Watson – Classy midfielder who reads the play extremely well. Tireless worker with elite kicking skills. Had a great u18 National carnival as an under-age player.
Daniel Preen – Big and athletic key forward. Strong mark, leads well and provides a great target up forward.
Nick Hey – Young player who reads the play extremely well off the half back line. Generally uses the ball well and provides plenty of rebound for his team.
