National team EOIs
Basketball New Zealand invites expressions of interest for voluntary coach, assistant coach and manager positions within national team programmes.
As part of the All of Basketball pathway plan, the player development pathway has changed.
Basketball New Zealand has tried to link and refine existing talent development properties to ensure a symbiotic link between the talent development programme, coach development and national team activities.
The National Talent Programme targets athletes and coaches who aspire to achieve international standards, and is broken into two stages – national teams and development teams.
The programme is about being a regular participant in international competitions, and understanding the requirements and demands to not only compete, but win.
Our aim is to increase athletes’ competencies on and off the court, based on targets in individual plans under the guidance of the national coaching staff.
We recommend coaches and managers who wish to progress their professional development at the national level, and seek interest in the below roles.
