ALIK Magin, Kane Lambert and Dean Galea have taken home prestigious awards at the 2013 J.J Liston Trophy night.
Magin, a shining light at Bendigo Gold this season won the Toyota Coaches Player of the Year for 2013.
The former Gold Coast Suns rookie polled 32 votes to finish six ahead of the teammate Daniel Toman.
Classy Northern Blues midfielder Kane Lambert claimed the Fothergill-Round Medal as the Peter Jackson VFL’s best player under the age of 23.
Lambert enjoyed a breakout season and is tipped by many to follow in the footsteps of 2012 winner Dean Towers and secure a spot on an AFL list at season’s end.
After booting 55 goals for the season, Port Melbourne spearhead Galea accepted the ‘Frosty’ Miller Medal for the second consecutive year.
Galea finished one ahead of Frankston’s Michael Lourey after booting seven goals in the final match of the home-and-away season.
Casey Scopion Aidan Lindsay won the A. Todd Medal for 2013 as the best and fairest of the AFL Victoria Development League.
Lindsay finished with 13 votes ahead of a group of players on 12.

Alec Gillon Award
Northern Blues stalwart Joe Falzon was recognised for the Alec Gillon Award for the 2013 season.
The Award is in recognition of honorary club officials who have provided outstanding service to their club or football in general.
