This week three McDonald's Mini Legend Awards were awarded to Kayli Milne & Riley Ernst from Highfields & Kasey Dearden from Warwick.
Despite playing in a final, all three players enjoyed their time on the field. The two girls were playing against each other and went hard for the contest when the ball came to them but were having a good conversation mid-game.
This message is certainly one to remember as the competition continues to heat up over the next three weeks.
Throughout 2013, AFL Queensland staff recognised players who displayed the best acts of sportsmanship along with mateship and inclusion both on and off the field.
Players were recognised in front of their peers at the conclusion of matches by AFL Queensland staff and be rewarded with a certificate from the Junior major sponsor McDonald's Toowoomba Region Restaraunts.
The award will defeinitely return in 2014, so look our for Webby, Jeffro or Davo next year at an Under 12s match near you!
