GOLD!! Harbour U23 Men and Women win Nationals
Both teams had a unbeaten run to pick up their medals. In the finals the ladies played Waikato after beating Canterburry in the semis that morning 75-47. The ladies had a slow start but whatever coach Kate Lacey andassistant Bex Van Kuyk said at half time brought a different team onto the court and the ladies started to dominate . when the final whistle blew the ladies were clear winners with a 57-34 score.
The men came up against Counties in the finals after a dominating win against Porirua in the semis. The game was intense with the lead swinging from counties to Harbour throughout. 3 of the starting 5 for Harbour were unfortunately fouled out and other players stepped up to the mark when it counted. When the whistle blew Harbour were the champions with a 92-101 score.
