It is a race of two for the Stan Milton Medal between Western Suburbs’ Rory Miller (pictured top left) and North Shore’s Daniel Roberts (pictured bottom left).
Miller took the lead with a nine goal haul against Sydney Hills Eagles and will be likely to hit the scoreboard again against a lower-placed side in UTS.
Bombers’ veteran, Roberts has led the tally for most of the season but is currently two goals behind Miller. He faces the best defence in the league in Manly this weekend in a much-awaited local derby.
For both it would be their first Stan Milton Medal. The last Western Suburbs player to win the Medal was Matt Eurell in 2010, while North Shore’s last winner was Chris Dale in 2000.
It is likely to be the lowest amount of goals for a Stan Milton Medallist since Gus Seebeck (61) in 2006.
The only player to break the century in any of the grades of the AFL Sydney competition this year is Ashley Moeller of the Blacktown Magic in Division Three with 110 goals.
