Army AFL Sydney Womens Rising Star- Round 15

The Army AFL Sydney Womens Round 15 Rising Star nominee is Nicola Kennedy (pictured tackling) of Wollongong Saints.

Nicola Kennedy is a new member of the Saints in 2013. Coming from the Northern District Tigers Junior Football club she represented NSW at the annual National Youth Girls carnival in Shepparton.

At the ripe age of 15 Nicci has shown that she isn’t afraid to mark up on any more experienced players and goes hard for the ball regardless of the size difference.

Playing on the wing; Nicci's standout game came in the last round of the season working effectively with fellow Youth Girl Centres to deliver the ball down to our goals.

Her resilience under pressure and confidence to go to the ball has seen Nicci gain best on ground votes across 4 of the games that she has played this season.

Well done on your debut season in Womens footy - your football career is looking very bright.
