MITCHELL HARRIS IN NATIONAL SAPSASA BASKETBALL

Mitchell Harris, one of Mount Gambier’s top junior basketballers has been selected to represent S.A. in the 2013 SAPSASA National Championships to be played in Perth next week, August 17th to 23rd.

This selection follows that of Mount Gambier players of the calibre of Emily Stafford, Rachael Hines, Brad Rathjen and Lauren Ross who have all been SAPSASA state representatives.

Harris, only one of two SA Country players, won his place over talented metropolitan players and gives him second state strip having been a member of the SA Country Under 13 team which played in the Eltham/Dandenong Junior Tournament in January.

The state team is coached by Sharon Bailey and managed by John Ward.

In recognition of this outstanding state level achievement Harris has been awarded a City of Mount Gambier Junior Sporting Scholarship to the value of $400.
