AFL Sydney Rising Star- Round 16

The Round 16 AFL Sydney Rising Star nominee is Matt Varjavandi of North Shore.

Matt has become an integral member of the North Shore Premier Division side in 2013 and he put in another great effort on the weekend in the sides victory over Sydney University

Matt is one of the Under 18 captains, however he has demonstrated a competitiveness at the senior level over the last month.

Coach Jon Hayres said " Matt is another tremendous young kid to come through our Under 18 program and I have been very impressed with Matt’s training ethic."

"His willingness to listen and follow instructions. He has speed and skill and a competitive streak that enables us to use at either end of the ground."
