AFL Sydney Statement

In the Premier Division match played Sunday August 4 at Henson Park, 11 Balmain Dockers players walked off the field during the first quarter and did not return. The game was considered a forfeit and Western Suburbs won the match.

The 11 players who did not return to the field of play have been issued Code of Conduct breaches, and the Code of Conduct Committee will sit on Wednesday 14th August to determine the subsequent course of action. Additionally, they have been stood down and will not be participating in this weekend’s football matches.

An investigation by AFL Sydney officials into this incident has commenced.
