Recently some Mothers of Underage Netball Umpires have had difficulty in convincing gatekeepers that they are in fact delivering their Daughter to netball games to actually umpire early matches conducted in the Goulburn Valley Netball League, one mother was challenged to pay an admission fee, which she objected strongly to, you couldn't blame her because immediately her daughter had umpired the under/17 netball match she chose to go to another ground to umpire a further match at a higher standard. This situation has been resolved with an email from GVFNL President Abby Misti which states "Under Age Umpires get in for free. along with 1 Adult for free" Eg: If there are two Parents or a family in the car, they all need to pay (except for one chosen adult) Likewhise the same conditions apply in the Football League. We need to encourage our young umpires at all times.
