The Carmichael Builders Darling Downs under 14 Crows continued their indifferent form against the bottom placed Springwood at Lowe Oval Underwood on Sunday afternoon.
After an amazing come from behind victory over Sherwood last round, the Crows were expected to give their percentage a booster but were still able to record an impressive 27-point victory away from home. Darling Downs ran out 9.8 (62) to 5.5 (35) to keep in touch with the ladder leaders.
In a lack-luster opening half the Crows dominated play booting 5.5 to the Puma's 1-behind.
It was a different Springwood outfit in the third quarter, as the 13th placed Puma's ran riot booting 5-goals in an impressive display. To the Crows credit, agains the flow they were able to kick a couple of their own taking a 16-point lead in the final break.
Darling Downs fought back and gained momentum in the final term to run out 27-point victors, as Tom Matthews booted his fifth in a best on ground performance.
The Crows will now host the Wilston Grange Gorilla's at Rockville Oval this Sunday, stay tuned during the week for the Squad announcement.
