Well Footy Heads, the Phantom is back for yet another round of Ontario footy action! Some big games this coming weekend in both the Men and Women's competitions! It should be awesome..
Etobicoke Kangaroos v Toronto Rebels
This Friday night encounter should be a beauty with both teams very much in finals contention. The Roos have just come back from a tough game in Guelph where they couldn't quite snatch a win after defeating the Blues comfortably in Round 6. The Rebels had a draw in Ottawa in Round 6 then beat the previously undefeated Eagles in Round 7.
This really could be anyone's game on what looks to be a hot, sticky and possibly wet, Friday night hit out at Humber South.
Do the Rebels have anyone to stop Chippa? Or will they look to go head to head against to Roos and have a go?
Phantom Prediction Rebels in a close one - 10 points max
High Park Demons v Hamilton Wildcats
Both sides have been struggling this season but none more so than the Cats who couldn't field a team last week against the Hawks in Scarborough.
Fingers crossed the 'week off' gave the Cats a chance to regroup and they come to town with strong numbers on Saturday!
The Demons haven't won since they lost to the Swans in Toronto, so will be eyeing this game as a potential welcome back party to the winners circle.
While not mathematically out of finals contention, they need to win not just this game but most of the final 5 games this season to be a chance.
Phantom Prediction Demons by 5 goals
Ottawa Swans v Toronto Eagles
AFL Ontario web master has removed this prediction due the game being postponed until a later date. Details to follow.
Guelph Gargoyles v Broadview Hawks
This game will be match of the round considering both teams have won their past 4 straight games and are no doubt finals contenders. The two teams match up pretty well and this should be an solid hit out.
The Hawks are up and about and haven't really been challenged since being beaten by the Dingos fairly convincingly in Round 3.
The Gargoyles are on the improve and will come good by finals time, but have not really put a really solid win on the board just yet.
Will the be the Matty Dean vs Connor Dullard battle? New Best & Fairest vs Old Best & Fairest?
Guelph are tough to beat at home and in their last home game of the season, will want to make sure they take the 4 points. It will really come down to who has their best players on deck on the day!
Phantom prediction Guelph to prove they are the 'real deal in hiding' by 3 goals
Toronto Dingos v Central Blues
While the Blues played fairly well last week and got a good win on the board, they really don't have the class of the Dingos who will have the old man Craig Stewart returning to the line up for the first time in a few weeks.
The Dingos really didn't give the Demons a chance in Round 7 and shut the down on 75% of forward entries. They will do the same on Saturday and be too strong across half back with too many scoring options.
While I don't like to write off Willsy and the boys and everyone knows they will give it everything they've got, I just don't see the Dingos letting this one slip.

WOMEN
Etobicoke Kangaroos v High Park Demons
The Roos will be looking forward to this one, not just after a long hiatus without a game but because the only team to beat them so far this season has been the Demons. The Dees are flying along on top of the ladder, undefeated and with only 3 games left in the season, unlikely to drop a game easily.
Erin and the girls are one a strong outfit and unlike their Division 1 counterparts - can kick goals. The Roos will have their work cut out for them this week but certainly are capable.
This one could be anyone's game on the day but on form alone, Phantom Prediction is High Park by 4 goals
Hamilton Wildcats v Central Blues
This game was meant to have been played a few weeks ago but I am led to believe, was postponed at the request of Central Blues. The Blues have just come off a fairly big defeat at the hands of Ottawa in Toronto and while strong in numbers, lack in scoring options. Maybe they need to put some of their quality up forward? Renee Tong maybe? Hint Hint Coach!
The Wildcats girls are strong and have kicked some big scores this year.
They took the top of the table Dees closer to defeat than anyone else, so it is hard to go against them in this match up.
Phantom Prediction - Hamilton by 5 goals
