MODBURY BASKETBALLERS VISIT ICE HOUSE.
A group of Junior Lakers hosted six Modbury Uniting Church basketballers in an afternoon of skills sessions and fun games last Monday.
The visitors, under the supervision of Rev. Tony Goodluck, were four Sudanese young men, Kuol Kuol, nickname Lanky, Kenye Luk, Kuac Atuer, Majok Atem, Zania Rice and Jessica Goodluck.
Lakers players who participated were Stephen Sochacki, before withdrawing because of illness, Emmerson White, Kurt Rodis, Lachlan Hunter, Teagan and Tenille Gray, Eilish and Brenna Mckay.
Pioneers’ players Titus Robinson and Tom Daly ran dribbling and passing skills drills, which were enjoyed by the group.
Teams comprising the visitors and Lakers were then selected for a fun scrimmage to complete the hour long session.
