It was a bright sunny and warm afternoon at the Gatton Showgrounds on Sunday as the three Women's teams shaped up for Round 5 games.
First up saw the table topping South Toowoomba Bombers up against the hosts Lockyer Valley Demons. The Dee's were first on the board through Paige Buzza who booted a long range goal, which lifted the strong home crowd. South Toowoomba responded quickly through Georgie Seaniger, as the Bombers held a slender 2-point margin over the Dee's at half-time.
The second half was all one-way traffic as the undefeated Bombers slotted home another major through Danielle Wall but missed a number of chances to extend the final margin. To the Demon's credit their attack on the footy and defensive structure was first class.
Final Score: Lockyer Valley 1.0 (6) def. by South Toowoomba 2.6 (18)

Next up it was Warwick's turn to face up against the Bomber's Women. Much like the first game the Bombers lapsed in concentration as the Redback's were first to score through Tanya Wright. As they have done all season the Bombers kicked into gear and piled on 6 unanswered goals before half-time. South Toowoomba took a commanding 34-point lead at the main break.
As the game started Warwick were able to kick the first goal again through Tanya Wright but as before South Toowoomba ran rampant slotting 6-goals putting the result well in doubt. Delma Phyland was best on ground for the Reddies repelling a lot of the South Toowoomba forward raids. Georgie Seaniger and Tia Scorgie were the stand-outs for the Bombers as their undefeated season continued.
Final Score: South Toowoomba 12.9 (81) def. Warwick 2.1 (13)
