Mrs Margaret Tracy - MPNFL Woman of the Year

In front of 150 + people at the MPNFL Women Making A Mark Luncheon to Celebrate Women in Sport held at the Sandhurst Club on Friday 28 June, 2013, Mrs Margaret Tracy from the Mt Eliza Football Netball Club was given the honour of being the 2013 recipient of the MPNFL Woman of the Year Award.

Since 1965 she’s had every Redlegs player (junior & senior) refer to her as Mrs.T, Mrs.Trace, Marg or in most cases it’s just mum.

In addition to raising her own 4 sons she also took in 2 of the players (teenagers) & raised them for a number of years...

Mrs Tracy is really proud that the family has 5 MEFC life members...herself, her late husband, son's Haydn, Brian and David. She is also one of only 2 people who are life members of both the senior & junior football clubs.

She’s slowed down a little recently, however every home game the Redlegs canteen offers up home-made boiled fruit cake & carrot cake.
