It was a terrific afternoon of footy at Roddies Oval as the AFLDD Women's league wrapped up Round 4 fixtures as South Toowoomba and Warwick collected premiership points.
Warwick was able to collect their second win of the season and take home the premierships points when they defeated the Lockyer Valley Demons by 13 points in the first of three games in Round 4. Caitlyn McBarron and Cassandra Cullen were the dominate ball-winners for the Reddies. Carmen Paia and Chelsea Lee were a handful for Warwick as the silky skilled midfielders racked up possession after possesion for Lockyer but were unable to have their good work rewarded on the score board.
Warwick ran out 2.3 (15) to 0.2 (2) victors over Lockyer Valley.
South Toowoomba continued their dominance of the Women's League in their big 16-goal win over the Demons. Kylie Edmondstone and Chelsea Lee were superb in the losing side winning plenty of their own footy. Young-guns Danielle Wall, Georgie Seaniger and Jess Harvey were the stand-outs for the very impressive Bombers.
South Toowoomba 16.10 (106) def. Lockyer Valley 0.0 (0)
In the final game of Round 4, home team Warwick came up against South Toowoomba. The final margin on the scoreboard didn't seem to reflect the hard-running, skilful game on field. Both sides attacked the footy more aggressively than their male-club counterparts in a terrific contest.
South Toowoomba prevailed in the end winning 6.14 (50) to 0.0 (0)
