Australian Rules has grown by nearly 60% across the regions Primary and Secondary schools since 2009 and this is largely due to the passionate work done by AFL School Ambassadors.

School teachers across the region have been spreading the word and heavily promoting Australian Rules to their students. Nearly sixty teachers from across the region have register as COLES AFL School Ambassadors for 2013 on the Darling Downs and the list is still growing.
Year 7 teacher Matthew Russell from Withcott State School currently leads the Primary Ambassadors, while St Joseph's College in Toowoomba teacher Rodney Spain tops the Secondary Ambassadors list.
