Women’s Division One
If last week’s game between Balmain and UNSW/ES is anything to go by, we are in for a tight season. The Stingrays inflicted Balmain’s first defeat in a couple of seasons and sit deadlocked on points on top of the Division One ladder.
Sydney University are also in the conversation for the top women’s teams vying for the premiership and are currently third with a very healthy percentage.
From there, it is a two game break to Western Wolves and a further two game gap to Newtown Breakaways.
Wollongong have fallen from grace and are winless and last on the ladder.
Women’s Division Two
If you want an example of domination, you don’t need to look much further than Macquarie University in the Women’s Division Two competition.
They have only conceded twenty points in seven games this year and as you would expect, are unbeaten, one game ahead of Southern Power.
Penrith are two games behind in a more successful second season for the ladies. UTS have also tasted more wins this year, and are two games ahead of Auburn on the ladder.
Randwick City Angels in their first season in Womens’ football are winless.
