UNIVERSITY'S push for its first AFL Darling Downs flag since 2007 continues to gather steam after the Cougars disposed of Dalby 16.11 (107) to 6.9 (45) at USQ on Saturday.
The Swans were never really in the contest as the twin attack of Joel Yosh and Heath Gneil booted four goals each for the Cougars.
Only a sloppy last quarter in front of goal stopped the score from blowing out more as Uni made it four straight wins.
In the weekend's other matches, South Burnett went within 10 points of causing the upset of the season against the Toowoomba Tigers.
The three-time premiers had to dig deep to hold out the AFLDD rookies 10.18 (78) to 9.14 (68).
The Saints came out firing after last weekend's bye and they were in front by three points at the first change.
The Tigers hit back to lead by eight at half time but South Burnett refused to go away and stuck within two goals of their opponents throughout the second half.
Goondiwindi also lost no admirers in its 20.13 (133) to 12.9 (81) loss to competition leaders Coolaroo.
The Hawks played from in front with the first goal of the match to Jeremy Leahy but they struggled to convert the rest of their chances.
The home side kicked 1.7 to Coolaroo's 5.4 for the quarter and it proved too much to recover from.
But Goondiwindi kept battling and kicked a perfect five goals to outscore the Roos in the final quarter.
Meanwhile, there was more pain for Warwick as the Redbacks slumped to their third straight loss against South Toowoomba 9.14 (68) to 8.8 (56).
Warwick was slow out of the blocks but an inaccurate first quarter from the Bombers kept the score close.
The Redbacks improved as the match wore on with youngsters like Tim Tate stepping up but Souths were already in firm control.
Highfields took the points from Chinchilla after it was forced to forfeit.
