Ksano’s 33 carries Team Palau over Peched in WNBL
Team Palau is on a roll going into the play offs as they closed down on Peched, 66-57 Wednesday night in the 2013 Surangel and Sons Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) at the Palau National gym.
Trailing 10-20 in the opening salvo, team Palau managed to climbed back as they outscored Peched with a 15-6 run to close in the gap at 25-26 at the half. Team Palau then caught up with Peched in the third as they rolled 16-11 to grab the driver’s seat at 41-37.
From there, Team Palau stood their ground as they went for the win with Sarabeth Ksano leading the way with a career high 33 as Danielle topscored for Peched with 21 on the losing end.
In other games, Islanders won over Smooth Riders, 20-0.
A total of six teams are seeing action in the tournament namely Odasangel Islanders, Kryptonite, Peched, Money, Nationals and Smooth Riders.
