GREEN CHOSEN TO PLAY IN CENTRAL AUSTRALIA BASKETBALL LEAGUE

State junior basketballer, Georgia Green, will make her debut in the Central Australia Basketball League as a member of the Eastern Mavericks team to play Forestville Eagles at Wayville on Saturday night.

Green is continuing her basketball in elite senior ranks after a stellar career in the junior arena. She was vice-captain of the SA Country Under 18 team which competed in the national championships in Brisbane last month. Earlier this month she played a key role in Eastern Mavericks’ win in the SA State junior championships. She has been an outstanding representative for SA Country and Mount Gambier in all age groups over the years.

Her inclusion in the Eastern Mavericks team provides her with a huge opportunity playing with WNBL star Tess Madgen and state team-mate Samantha Lubcke.

Green will travel to Adelaide on Friday to play in the Under 18 Division 1 District competition with Eastern Mavericks and then suit up for the CABL game against Forestville under Coach Nathan Jones on Saturday.
