The TAFL Power will take to the field for the first time since 2010 when they take on the North Coast AFL at Wayne Richards Oval in Port Macquarie on Saturday. The side has a good mix of youth and experience and will find the task difficult against the coastal boys but coach Tom Granleese has every confidence he has the side to win on Saturday.
Russell Brien of the Saints has been drafted into the squad following a knee injury to Captain Andrew George. George suffered the injury in the Bulldogs loss to the Nomads last weeked and he will be a big loss for the Power midfield. However, Brien has demonstrated his own prowess through the midfield for the Saints over the past 3 seasons and will provide plenty of run and carry through the middle and forward line. In George's absense, Clinton Ballagh of the Nomads will take on the captain's duties.
The match kicks off at 2.20pm on Saturday afternoon, and we wish the boys all the best in their representation of the TAFL.
