AUCKLAND COACHING CLINIC

Saturday December 2nd

9:30am - 12:30pm at Unitec Sports Centre

Gate 3 & 4, Carrington Rd - Mt Albert, Auckland

All coaches based in the Auckland region are welcome to attend this free coach development and networking event being conducted by Basketball New Zealand.

`Developing Players Individual Skills'

Ollie Dudfield - BBNZ Manager Coaching, Education & Development

Previously a Basketball Australia ITC Head Coach in Queensland with experience coaching in Australia and internationally Dudfield will take a selection of athletes selected for the 2006 All-New Zealand Camp through a session aimed at demonstrating to coaches methods to focus on developing their individual skills within a team practice environment.

`Coaching Panel Q & A'

A coaching panel with experience at all levels of coaching will field coaches' questions and present practical demonstrations to the coaches attending the clinic. This will be followed by a morning tea and networking session at the Unitec Cafeteria

Steve Done - Basketball Coachforce

A former New Zealand NBL Coach with 20 years experience in the US College System Done has a reputation for producing hard working teams renowned for their aggressive approach at the defensive end.

Mata Cameron -

Junior Tall Ferns Coach

A veteran of New Zealand Coaching circles and current Junior Tall Fern Head Coach Mata has coached at all levels of basketball in the country and has a wealth of experience developing merging athletes.

Theo Tait -

BBNZ HP Coach

Tait led New Zealand's Gold Medal Winning Squad at the 2004 FIBA Oceania Youth Festival and has been involved in the development of a number of New Zealand's up and coming athletes now performing on the international stage.

These sessions will be followed by a Coaches' Morning Tea and Networking session at the Unitec Cafeteria.
