LEAHA Brown admits she was a bit nervous but enjoyed the experience of her first Aussie Rules on Sunday.
She captained the Redbacks side in the first women's game to be played in Warwick.
"We are just in it for the fun and achieved that on Sunday," Brown said.
"It was pretty full on, I felt one hit."
Brown has played netball, indoor cricket and tennis on her journey to Aussie Rules.
"I train once a week, we are pretty keen for future games."
Coach Keith Clarke wasn't worried about the 121-point loss to South Toowoomba.
The score was inflated as the game was played across the field which means the goals were much closer to the centre bounce area.
"I am proud of how the girls played against a side with some state representatives," Clarke said.
"We have a young side, only three had played before."
The Redbacks play in a Sunday competition with South Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley.
The next round will be in a fortnight at Harristown Park and then three weeks later at Lockyer.
On Sunday, Lockyer didn't field a team but will play in future round robins. The top-two teams will play in the August grand final.
More welcome at training at 5.30pm Tuesday and Thursday at Roddies Oval.
