The two big improvers in 2013, both with two win from three starts, so this game will create interest.
Recent rainfall in the district see the tractors fired up, and numbers at training down for both clubs, so it will be hard going on the larger Wudinna Oval.
Wudinna will lose Izaac and Josh Boylan, Nick Wedding and Remi North, all heading back to school or university, but gains Mark North, Tom DuBois and Nigel Oswald. Concern exists over key backman Dallas Waters with a substantial calf injury from last week. Henry Zwar is leading the way this season, Jack Wilkins, 14 y/o is outstanding, leading the league in goals kicked with 12 from three games. "AJ" Ash Michael is probably in career best form.
The Tigers are more settled, producing the sort of football that come with playing together for a longer period. Scott Feltus has the Districts boys playing a methodical well drilled style. Truman Hoffrichter is a big in from the Far West FL Tigers, it appears that Shane Kenny's knee may not be as bad as first feared. Dylan Beinke, Shannon Horgam, Wayne Moroney, Jerel Fromm form a classy midfield
The Districts boys enjoy the open spaces at Wudinna oval, and have a great record over the years, including grand final win at the venue. The Tigers run and carry is impressive, and they are really only a big key forward away from perhaps a premiership (a fit Shane Kenny maybe!). Wudinna United are in good form also, but are ringing the seasonal changes for now, so the Tigers in a close one.
Note: Look out for the return of MWFL champion Tom Seal, a former Mail and Montgomerie Medalist in the B Grade game. Perhaps he has noted Anthony Koutoufidis and Jason Akermanis doing the high profile rounds of country footy and is contemplating joining the circuit!
