Anthony Koutoufidis lined up for Wirrulla on the weekend, kicking a goal, but not able to spur the boys on for a win. The Western District Tigers were too strong for the Bomber outfit to the tune of 69 points. This is a great opportunity to line up with and against one of the highest profile players of Australian Football.
The game was initially scheduled to play at Poochera, but changed by agreement between the clubs.
"Kouta"took training at Wirrulla and spoke at a sportsmans evening, which was enjoyed by all. He now continues his tour of the Eyre Peninsula with engagements on lower Eyre. He is a former Carlton Captain and Two time all Australian
The Bomber boys just couldnt get a run on although it must be noted that the Tigers are in great form and finally delivering on their promise of the past few years.
Districts coach Scott Feltus was awarded the Joe Day Medal for the player judged to best exemplify the ANZAC Spirit, courage, commitment and team work. This is probably the best way to describe how "Fingers"has played his whole career, with four mail medals plus three President Medals as Runner up to the Mail Medal. Add five time Mortlock Carnival Player of the Carnival, plus best and fairests plus, plus plus he is one of the most decorated Country Footballers ever
