The Army AFL Sydney Womens Round 2 Rising Star nominee is Isabelle O’Brien from UNSW-ES Stingrays.
Having just moved from Victoria to NSW, Isabelle has AFL blood in her veins with her father a midfielder in the Western Bulldogs from 1988 - 1995 and being a life-member of the Dogs - Isabelle was destined to play for the Stingrays (given their tie with the Dogs).
Isabelle is a pint sized attacking, pocket rocket. Relentless in her attack at the ball , Isabelle plays stronger and taller than her size. She is super fast and a natural decision maker. It's fantastic to watch someone develop so rapidly in the sport.
Isabelle gives a great run off the back line or wing. Last Saturday Isabelle played a tagging role on the last years runner up in the league Best and Fairest winner and managed to keep her quiet.
Congratulations Isabelle on your nomination.
