Clayton and East Malvern will go head-to-head this Thursday in their ANZAC Day match, in what both clubs hope will become an annual tradition.
Clayton Football Club will throw open the gates to all spectators this week, and both clubs hope to attract a large crowd to witness two Division 1 teams on their way up.
The day will of course pay homage to the brave men and women who have fought and died for our country, before the senior match commences at 1.20pm.
The day will run as follows:
10.00am - Reserves match
11.30am for 12.00pm start - Formal lunch
1.00pm - Players arrive on the arena and formal proceedings
1.20pm - Senior match
Lunch tickets (either a $15 beverage package or a $60 per head full package) can be purchased from the club via Greg Collins on 0406 534 105. The Collingwood v Essendon match will be played on the big screen.
