Preview Rd 4

Falcons will look to get their first win since round 1 when they travel to Tyers. In the corresponding fixture last year both teams played out a 4-4 draw so Falcons will be looking to avenge that sub-par performance with a strong win to continue their push for finals football.

On Sunday Churchill travels to Traralgon City for what has become a line in the sand match for the Roosters after three consecutive draws to start the season. Nothing less than a win will do for City whose title aspirations will be seriously dented if they drop more points in this fixture. Churchill coach Stephen Riess will have selection headaches with Maselli and the Jackson brothers in the mix with youngsters D’Alia, Downie and Ben Skinner. The last time these two clubs met was in last years semi final which the Rams won on penalties after the two teams couldn’t be separated after extra time at 2-2. There has been some significant changes in personnel at both clubs since that encounter so its difficult to predict a winner

For their first Saturday night game for the season Fortuna '60 travel to Harold Preston Reserve to take on Traralgon Olympians. The Lions are smarting from their shock loss to Sale Utd in Round 3 at home, and this week will be more determined than ever to get a strong win over the Olympians.
Last season’s match ups saw a win for both teams with Fortuna '60 gaining a Round 1 win with a close 2-1 score line and Olympians exacted a revenge 3-0 win in the follow-up Round 10 clash. Both team lost their Round 3 games this year and will be out for the win to keep their seasons on track.
Fortuna '60 will be bolstered by the return of Holmes and Higgins and other line-up changes that may occur for this clash, the Lions pride is truly on the line this week and they wont give in easily against the Anthony Pardo led Olympians.
The Olympians playmakers Arron Daniels, Ivan Vekic and George Fkiaris will be matched up to put them out of the game, Fortuna's Rayval Whiting, Shaun Pickett and Josh Tanti are up for the task this week.

In other games this weekend, Newborough Yallourn United will face of with cross town rival Moe for early season bragging rights, while Monash travel to the inform Sale United who will be very hard to beat at home.
