Preview:
Southern Power loom as one of the favourites given Manly’s promotion to Premier Division. The premiership race is now more open than ever but the Power have suffered some key losses, namely Shane Demir, Phil Hamer (overseas) and Matthew Graham (now AFL Sydney Football Operations Manager).
There is still class in the likes of reigning Snow Medalist, Andrew Craig (pictured) and Liam Davis.
This should ensure they are there or there-abouts come September.

Preview:
Macquarie University struggled in 2012 after a finals appearance the previous year to finish ninth with five wins. Injuries cruelled their campaign and they will be better prepared this season under Damien Phillips. There is not much loss in terms of talent, and although they haven’t gained too much, they have made some impressions during the pre-season. The return of James Brackin from South Australia who has been announced as co-captain will ease the workload of other co-captain and dual best and fairest Dylan Brogan which is a real positive.
They have the list to play finals and it would be a failure if they didn’t do so this year.

Preview:
Penrith had an interrupted season with a change of coach mid-season last year yet still managed to make the finals.
They are destined to make a similar charge in 2013 with an active recruitment drive which landed Joshua Shepherd from Sydney Hills Eagles. Shepherd is a running midfielder who was a constant of the Eagles Premier Division side last year.
The word is a couple of players who were travelling overseas last year will be back to bolster their depth.
They don’t seem to have lost much in the way of talent and must be admired for how they have developed in recent seasons.
Book them in for finals action and a potential tilt at the premiership.

Preview:
The Goannas would not be too pleased with their finals campaign last season and will be keen to make amends in 2013. They are a no-frills side but have secured a great recruit in Ben Rogers who will add much needed goal-kicking potency.
The Terrey duo and John Maniscalco should both play seniors and will help the Goannas improve.
Jordan Pidgeon is an exciting junior and it will be interesting to see how he develops this year given he adds much needed run on the wing.
The Goannas are a bit of an each-way bet who could be in the upper echelons of the ladder provided they get a good start to the season.
