NAB AFL Auskick participants from across the Darling Downs will head down to the home of the Brisbane Lions “the Gabba” on Sunday 28th April for the NAB half-time grid games.
Auskick participants from the Chinchilla Suns, Pittsworth Power, South Burnett Saints and University Cougars centres will head down to partake in the half time festivities. The Auskickers along with a accompanying parent will also receive tickets to watch the mighty Brisbane Lions take on the Melbourne Demons during the Sunday twilight time slot.
Ninety Auskickers from the Darling Downs will be given this rare opportunity to run out onto the hallow turf of the Gabba’ and play in front of thousands and thousands of spectators.
“It is a money can’t buy experience, something each participant will remember for a very long time and a very important part of our (AFL) program,” AFLQ Development Coordinator Jeff Neumann said on the Auskickers from the Darling Downs heading down.
South Burnett Saints president Dan Clacy was thrilled with the opportunity to take their Auskick participants down to the Gabba.
“That’s amazing news, it’s a great opportunity and especially a great occasion for a brand new club......we can’t wait,” said a delighted Saints President Clacy.
The NAB AFL Auskick program provides boys and girls with a fun and safe Australian Football experience that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game.
The program is not just about introducing children to Australian Football – it activates and develops within each child the desire for a healthy lifestyle and an association with our great game. To find your nearest centre visit www.aflauskick.com.au
