Geelong Galaxy
The Greater Geelong Galaxy on behalf of FFV Geelong Region call upon all interested players of our beautiful game to join us for trials to represent the Geelong Region at the Regional Challenge Cup for boys and Country Championships for girls to be held in Shepparton over the Queen’s Birthday weekend (8th,9th & 10th of June). We will be entering teams in the following age groups: Boys Under 12/13/14 & 15 and Girls U12/14/16.
Coaches have been selected and they are as follows:

Player, coach and parent commitment is as follows:
7 X Monday night trials and training sessions – 22/4, 29/4, 6/5, 13/5, 20/5, 27/5, 3/6
Weekend in Shepparton – 8/9/10th of June
Please note BSA will be incorporated into Country Championship squads for this 7 week period.
Trial Dates: PLEASE READ INFORMATION CAREFULLY
WEEK 1 – TRIAL 1 – 22nd of April - Open to all Geelong based club players who have NOT been part of any Galaxy Squad, Current Winter SAP or Last Summer SAP squads previously.
WEEK 2 – TRIAL 2 – 29th of April – Previous Galaxy, Current Winter SAP and Last Summer SAP players plus a maximum of 8 players identified and invited from Week 1 trial.
WEEK 3 – TRIAL 3 – 6th of May – Previous Galaxy, Current Winter SAP and Last Summer SAP players plus a maximum of 8 players identified and invited from Week 1 trial.
Final squad of 16 (plus two emergencies) will be selected by coaches in conjunction with an independent selector.
All squads will be listed on the Greater Geelong Galaxy website by Wednesday the 9th of May. Initially player trial numbers will appear and will then be converted to names on acceptance of offer to play.
Cost per player will be $140 which will include a playing kit.
Accommodation options for families will be sent in your confirmation email.
Training will held for the final squad of 16 on Monday’s 13/5, 20/5, 27/5 & 3/6. Attendance is compulsory

Registration Process:
Players will register on the night and receive a stick-on player number once registered.
No players will be able to register to “play-up” an age group, age specific only. If there is a shortage of trialists in any age group then the committee in conjunction with relevant coaches will decide whether a player can or will play up.
Only neutral playing strips will be allowed to be worn at trials:
No SAP/Galaxy/VIC/Rep/Club strips to be worn at trials – STRICTLY NEUTRAL
Selections:
Last Summer, Current Winter SAP & Galaxy players will be guaranteed 2 trials. Sixteen (16) players will be selected and two (2) emergencies will be listed. Emergencies will not be required to train.
It is not compulsory for SAP & BSA players to trial for RCC/CC but they must still attend training on Monday nights with squads.
