VIDEO| Sharks Take Bite Out of QAS

Palm Beach secured their first win of their National Premier Leagues campaign on Saturday defeating Queensland Academy of Sport 3-0 in the opening match of the double-header at Perry Park.

Mat Hilton opened the scoring for the Sharks on 9 minutes when he controlled a lobbed pass and then unleashed a venomous overhead shot from an acute angle to catch Academy goalkeeper Andreas Pascoe flatflooted.

Palm Beach captain Justin McKay extended his team’s lead with a header on 34 minutes. The situation worsening for QAS before the close of the half when Abrahim Yango received his second booking.

Academy weren’t without their chances, even when reduced to ten, however never nullified the Palm Beach attack; Riley Dillon sealing the result just before the hour mark.
