Preview:
It is an exciting time given it is the Wolves first season in Premier Division. Leigh Brain is an astute coach and will have done everything in his power to ensure the Wolves are ready come Round 1. Nothing substitutes the real thing and they will take time to find their feet.
Lachlan Kilpatrick and Hayden Washington are good recruits from North Shore, while their biggest acquisition is former Sydney Swans listee, Jack Lynch. Lynch can play tall at 190cm and his versatility will benefit Manly.
The Wolves have lost two keys to their 2012 success in marquee players Connor Pettersson and David Kovacevic who are travelling overseas however there is a chance they will return for the second part of the season. Kovacevic is a hulking forward who dominated the Division One competition last year while Pettersson was best on ground in the Grand Final and has played at some of the big Tier 1 clubs in ACT and QLD.
Likely to be slow early but will surprise many in the middle to late stretch.
