Preview:
The Lions after a lean season last year have replenished their list with youth primarily from the South Coast competition. Time will tell whether these players will make an impact at senior level.
What is known is that they are losing some class. Ryan Price has been clearly their best player in the last couple of seasons where he has been the headline goalkicker. One wonders with his loss where the goals are going to come from. Ethan Hailey is the other key loss, given he was an up-and-coming junior.
Given they suffered in terms of depth and class in 2012, these losses look like consigning them to the bottom rungs of the ladder this season.
