Woodville Women sign import Jessica Koch

Fresh from a top two finish at the Central ABL pre-season tournament, the Woodville Warriors have announced the signing of import Jessica Koch.

Koch played at Missouri Western State University where she studied Speech Communication and holds the all time leading scoring record.

After playing in Bulgaria in 2012, Jessica has been focusing on staying in shape and getting herself ready to play basketball again.

Jessica has a keen interest in the media. "This past summer I interned at a big sports radio station just to get some experience in that field whenever I decide to start doing that."

When asked what her most memorable moment in basketball was, there is no surprise that she holds fond recollection of her last senior night in college:

"There were so many emotions tied to that game, we were able to advance to the post season tournament, everybody played well, and I was blessed to achieve the honor of becoming Missouri Western's all time leading scorer that night as well."

"What motivates me to play this game is the fact that there are always challenges. You can always get better. Basketball is just a part of me and I believe I was born to play!"

Jessica will be in Australia soon to join the Warriors ahead of the season opening home game against the Eastern Mavericks on April 6th and in time for the season launch on the 24th March at St Michael’s Junior school at Beverley.

"I'm so excited to come join the team and meet everybody. I have heard so many great things about Australia and am looking forward to experience basketball down-under! Playing for the Woodville Warriors means a lot to me because I want to help the team be successful in any way! My high school mascot was actually a Warrior so I can say I'm very comfortable with that mascot! I'm so appreciative of the opportunity and I'm ready to play basketball!”.
