Venue Manager/Referee Co-ordinator (VMRC)
Marcellin Eagles Basketball Club
Marcellin Eagles Basketball club is a family based domestic club that plays in the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association (EDJBA). The club has approximately 200 members (girls and boys)
The club is seeking a Venue Manager for its home two court stadium at MarcellinCollege, Bulleen Road, Bulleen.
The VMRC is the person that members, spectators, coaches and opposition teams come in contact with each week. VRMC role impacts on the reputation of the Club. Thus, Expressions of Interest are invited from persons who are passionate about basketball and understand the valuable role junior sport can have in developing individuals, teamwork and community. Interested persons must be able to demonstrate this understanding through leading by example. The successful person will become part of the Marcellin family and will have the communication skills to engage with the committee and the membership of the club in a positive and professional manner.
The VMRC is required at Marcellin on Saturdays between 12.00 and 7.00 approximately dependant upon home game allocations and time variations for finals and Marcellin school sport.
In addition to game day supervision the VMRC is also responsible for securing a roster of competent referees each week, and all associated administration required by the EDJBA and the club related to game day activities.
