AFL 9s a hit at Centennial Park

AFL Sydney sides got a decent pre-season hit-out recently at the AFL 9s Senior Knockout at Centennial Park.

AFL 9s is a non-contact modified version where only the three forwards from either side can score.

Six teams competed in the women’s competition, while the men’s competition was fought out between St George, Western Suburbs and Pennant Hills.

Sydney University overcame Wollongong Saints 42-18 in the Women’s final, while St George (pictured) prevailed over Western Suburbs 73-39.
