The South Toowoomba Bombers are one of the oldest clubs in the AFL Darling Downs competition, first taking the field with a premiership in their foundation year of 1972. Since then they won 4 more premierships in the following 12 years before falling out of the competition in the 90's.
Since returning as the Central Bombers with a Grand Final appearance in 2005 the club has merged with the South Toowoomba Bullants junior club and had many successes. The club consisently fields strong numbers in the junior age groups as well as featuring in A Grade finals with regular occurence. The club is growing to one of the largest in 2013 with the expansion of their Reserves and Women's sides.
