Galaxy stars set sights on state call-up
More than 30 rising Geelong soccer stars are set to begin their quest for state honours.
Thirty-four players from the Greater Geelong Galaxy team have been invited to trial for the Victoria Country squad, which will contest a national championship this year.
They were inducted into the Barwon Sports Academy and received scholarships during a presentation at Simonds Stadium on Monday night.
Another five players will be offered a chance to train with the academy.
